A flexible hose connects the offloading vessel to a subsea PLEM (Pipeline End Manifold) which via an undersea pipeline of approximately 3.2 kilometres and an overland pipeline of approximately 2.1 kilometres, transports the LPG to the bullets at the storage terminal.
The near shore marine construction of the facility took 14 months to complete. Clough Murray & Roberts’ scope was completed very sucessfully, delivering the project on budget and on time. Utilising world leading engineering, construction management and project managmeent tools and resources the project was delivered to specification and is considered of world world class quality standard.
Through the implementation of our propriety Major Accident Prevention (MAP) HSE system, we were able to fulfil our goal of Zero Harm with no lost time injuries (LTIs) over duration of the project.

Gas from the Ichthys Field will be transported from the offshore CPF through a subsea pipeline more than 885 kilometres to the onshore LNG processing plant located at Blaydin Point.
The Product Loading Jetty Work includes typical piled with crossheads trestle with concrete superstructure, loading platform for LNG and LPG / condensate, the provision of seawater intake including pump casing and slope protection, waste water outfall structures, navigation aids, marine operations, corrosion and cathodic protection systems.

A cost and schedule estimate, along with the project execution plans, was also developed. Work was executed by a team in Clough’s Brisbane Engineering office.

The modules consisted of a single gas-turbine driven centrifugal compressor train, electric condensate pumps, associated piping, fuel gas system, mechanical equipment, control systems and E&I.
Scope of work included supply, fabrication, assembly, coating and fire proofing of structural steel and piping, as well as installation of mechanical equipment, testing and installation of E&I equipment inclusive of heat tracing and insulation.

Oil Search Limited (OSL) extended the life of its offshore oil terminal, the Kumul Marine Terminal, located 40 kilometres offshore in the Gulf of Papua. Clough Amec has since received supplier a ConocoPhilips 2016 Supplier Recognition Award for “Doing Business Better”
