South side updates from the North East Link - The Spark North East Link Tunnels D&C team is achieving major progress in the south, with works on the SEM tunnel, waterproofing, tunnel base installation and arch lining all well under way. 
 
The green gantry crane has now been reassembled in Manningham. Previously used to lower the TBM into the launch box at Watsonia, it will soon play a crucial role again, this time helping to retrieve the TBM once tunnelling wraps up next year. Watch its impressive journey here.
 
Down in Bulleen, the South Ventilation Building is also rising fast, with 68 precast walls already installed and more to come.
