Rigging Supervisor

Opportunity to work on a major resources project in Perth/Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane

We have an exciting opportunity for a Rigging Supervisor to join the Woodman Point Team in Henderson! In this role, you will effectively be responsible for providing on-site leadership and direction for Craneage & Rigging activities associated with structural, mechanical and piping erection activities. Managing site safety, quality, schedule and within budget.

 

Clough, as part of an alliance, is delivering the engineering, procurement and construction for the Woodman Point Water Treatment Facility Upgrade, a significant sustainable infrastructure project for the Perth community, reducing waste and emissions.

Your focus will include:

 

  • Facilitate daily pre-start and debrief meetings with their assigned crews and weekly toolbox meetings
  • Participate with crews developing JHA’s (Job Hazard Analysis) for specific tasks, review and approve
  • Carry out site inspections - audits (safety and productivity) as per the minimum required KPI’s & HSE Field Leadership activities
  • Provide leadership and promote ownership of Clough's Safety Culture
  • Ensure understanding and following of site processes, procedures and safe work method statements by all personnel
  • Assist with daily - weekly planning for crane and rigging activities for their assigned teams and areas
  • Provide support to crane and rigging personal ensuring site assessment of crane set up area, lift planning, utilising correct rigging methods as per Clough's Lifting and Rigging procedures

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience performing in a similar role in the Mining and/or Construction Industries
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills
  • Professional presentation and able to represent the project at a high standard when interfacing with stakeholders
  • Able to delegate and take responsibility to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently and maximises project and individuals' effectiveness
  • Experience working under Permit to Work Systems and adhering to Permit to Work conditions
