Last week, the Future Generation Joint Venture - FGJV team delivering Snowy 2.0 hosted a group of visiting hydro-engineers from India as part of their Australian study program.

The group kicked off their visit at the Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre, gaining an immersive introduction to the iconic project before heading out on site tours.

Highlights from the day included: 

• A close-up look at one of the massive Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) 

• A visit to the ECVT and inspection of FACS segments 

• Getting an underground experience with TBM 1, the Powerhouse Main Hall, and the Transformer Hall 

• Exploring the impressive Talbingo Intake 

The day was a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge and showcase the scale and innovation behind Australia’s largest renewable energy project. Thank you to all involved and to the young engineers for joining us.
