Congratulations to the Parklife Metro D&C team delivering the SSTOM Project on being named finalists in the Excellence in Social Outcomes category at the 2026 ISC Awards for their We Build Bright Futures Pre-Employment Program!

Presented by the Infrastructure Sustainability Council (ISC) Connect 2026, the award recognises initiatives creating meaningful and lasting social impact through infrastructure.

Developed on SSTOM, the We Build Bright Futures Pre-Employment Program was created to address workforce shortages while opening genuine pathways into infrastructure careers for First Nations peoples and other underrepresented groups across Greater Western Sydney.

The program achieved a 100% graduation rate across its 23 participants, with 70% identifying as First Nations, 26% women and 65% aged under 25. Fourteen participants have gone on to sustained employment beyond six months, with seven progressing into apprenticeships.

These outcomes reflect the power of investing in people and creating opportunities that deliver lasting benefits for individuals, communities and our industry.
