Congratulations to the Spark North East Link Project team, recipients of the Safety Innovation Award at our recent Webuild Safety Excellence Forum.

Faced with the hazards associated with manual scabbling during corbel construction, the team led the development of an automated scabbling gantry, removing workers from direct exposure to high-pressure equipment and significantly reducing risk.

The innovation has improved safety outcomes, increased productivity and strengthened housekeeping and site efficiency, demonstrating the value of collaboration between engineering, construction and safety teams.
