Senior Accountant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Accountant to join the Finance Team in Perth! In this role, you will be responsible for supporting with the financial management and accounting activities across the Business Development and Bidding corporate functions. Providing financial control, timely cost tracking and accurate reporting for high value tender initiatives that complies with relevant cantractual and accounting standards.

Your focus will include:

 

  • Update and maintain business development and bidding initiative registers
  • Assist with preparing and raising purchase requisitions and the receipting and processing of invoices in SAP
  • Assist with bid claim submissions, collation of supporting documents and audit queries
  • Review, analyse and report on labour hours and costs for business development and bidding initiatives, including preparing JV cost reports, ensuring hours are correctly recorded and costs reconciled
  • Assist with month-end activities including posting accruals, variance analysis, P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Assist senior finance staff with ad-hoc reporting and requests

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

  • Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience using SAP is preferred
  • Previous experience in Bidding within Energy & Resources, Infrastructure or Construction will be held in high regard
  • Strong analytical thinking with a high attention to detail
  • A team player with the ability to build and maintain relationships
