Powering First Nations businesses - congratulations to the Spark North East Link team - finalists in the 36th Banksia National Sustainability Awards.

Recognised in the Diversity and Inclusion category for driving social impact through innovative procurement, this nomination celebrates the team’s partnership with Yurringa Energy.

In 2024, Spark began working with Yurringa Energy - Australia’s first Indigenous-owned energy retailer – to power its tunnel boring machines (TBMs) with 100% renewable energy.

This partnership redefines traditional procurement, demonstrating how infrastructure projects can champion diversity, inclusion, and tangible community benefits.
