Mental health matters - Spark North East Link Tunnels D&C marked World Day for Safety and Health at Work by embracing this year’s theme: Psychosocial Working Environment. The team partnered with mental health expert, Nic Bloom, to deliver mental health sessions including accredited Mental Health First Aid training to expand its peer support network, and a refresher session for existing first aiders to share experiences and enhance their capability.

The project leadership team also developed a training video to improve awareness of support systems across the Project, reaching more than 4,000 team members, because looking after our people is fundamental to how we deliver!

Webuild, as part of the Spark Joint Venture, is delivering the tunnels as part of North East Link. The project will take 15,000 trucks off local roads every day and reduce travel times by up to 35 minutes for commuters. Once complete, it will be the longest road tunnel in Victoria.
