Senior Project Engineer - Marine

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer - Marine to join our project in Darwin.

Clough in a joint venture with BMD have been awarded by the Northern Territory Government, delivering the Engineering, Procurement and Construction services for the development of the Darwin Ship Lift facility.

The position is on a roster to site in Darwin.

We require an experienced a Senior Project Engineer with a background in Marine Structure, in particular Wharf’s to join our team. 

Your focus will include but is not limited to: 

  • Delivery of technically acceptable engineering design and construction services for approved work
  • Work with technical specialists to ensure specification compliance, technical integrity of design (technical performance).
  • Prepare, check and file design information including documents and data from suppliers and other disciplines.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and improvement of systems across the division.
  • Manage customer relations to achieve mutually satisfactory and technical program outcomes.
  • Liaise regularly with manager to report progress, areas of concern / issues and potential changes.
  • Be a proactive member of the team, prepared to work outside conventional boundaries in cooperation with other team members to ensure complete coverage of each work scope.
  • Manage and coordinate design and construction effort of team reports to achieve satisfactory outcomes (project performance).
  • Provide construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning support to projects as required.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. BSc Eng).
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) – preferred.
  • Membership of relevant Engineering Institutions (e.g. Engineers Australia) – preferred.
  • Good knowledge of local and international Codes and Standards.
  • Relevant experience is defined as experience with engineering contracting or consultancy organisations in one or more of the following sectors – Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals and Infrastructure / Utilities.
