About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to support effective management of project documentation and data across this landmark project.

Based in Templeton, Christchurch, and reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring project information is controlled, accurate, accessible and compliant with project, company and client requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), supporting project teams, subcontractors and suppliers, and enabling smooth information flow across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Maintain a centralised EDMS for all controlled project documentation and correspondence
• Manage document receipt, registration, distribution, tracking and filing in line with procedures
• Support document review, approval and expediting processes across design, construction and completions
• Provide system and process training for project team members, suppliers and new starters
• Monitor document workflows to ensure timely and accurate information delivery
• Support data quality, reporting and issue resolution
• Contribute to continuous improvement and standardisation of document control processes

• Proven experience in document control on major construction or infrastructure projects
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on data quality and compliance

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

You will ideally have:

• Extensive experience working with EDMS platforms on large projects
•  Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Previous experience supporting or coordinating document control functions within complex project environments
