Webuild is delivering the design and construction of the $1.8Bn Women and Babies Hospital in Perth, Western Australia.

About the Opportunity

 

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced commercial and procurement professionals with Tier 1 contractor experience managing complex procurement packages, tender processes, subcontract negotiations and contract formation activities on major projects.

 

As the Women and Babies Hospital project continues to progress, we are looking to connect with individuals who have successfully delivered procurement and contract formation outcomes on major building, healthcare, infrastructure or construction projects.

 

We are particularly interested in speaking with professionals currently based in the United Kingdom and Ireland who would consider relocating to Perth, Western Australia.

 

 

You may currently be working as a:

 

  • Procurement Specialist
  • Contracts Advisor
  • Subcontracts Specialist
  • Procurement Lead
  • Quantity Surveyor or Contracts Administrator with pre-award experience

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Source and procure subcontract works, requirements and packages
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with group policies, procedures and project requirements
  • Process assigned procurement requisitions
  • Prepare bid evaluations and assess supplier offers, ensuring technical review by relevant departments
  • Negotiate supplier purchase orders and formalise agreements
  • Support the Commodity Manager in defining procurement strategies
  • Define vendor lists and prepare Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
  • Conduct market surveys and compare technical and commercial submissions
  • Maintain the project Procurement Plan and Procurement Schedule
  • Manage supplier relationships and review planned expenditure against budget, obtaining required approvals

 

 

About You

What You Will Bring

 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a subcontracting, procurement or commercial role within the construction industry
  • Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end procurement processes on large-scale or complex projects
  • Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor or on major building, healthcare or infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction subcontracts, materials and services
  • Proven capability in commercial evaluation, contract negotiation and supplier engagement
  • Experience using contemporary procurement systems (SAP highly regarded)
  • Experience with Furniture, Fittings and Equipment (FF&E) procurement is desirable
  • Highly organised with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, demanding project environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail and a results-driven mindset
