Senior Technical Procurement (Expressions of Interest)

Clough is seeking experienced Technical Procurement (including Senior level) to join the Bidding Energy & Resources Team in Brisbane! In this role you will effectively be responsible for driving our bid phase procurement processes and ensure technical excellence and delivering the basis for successful proposals within budget and timeline constraints.

As an experienced Technical Procurement professional, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning the procurement process during the proposal phase of a broad range of Energy and Resources  projects.

The role will involve developing a comprehensive Make or Buy Strategy and ensuring seamless cross-coordination among the various functions involved in the RfQ (Request for Quotation) process.

Your goal is to achieve technically and economically robust outputs for our tenders and proposals.

Your focus will include:

  • Collaborate with the Proposal Manager and the Technical Coordinator, analysing bid studies, and considering client requirements to define the procurement delivery strategy
  • Develop the RFQ process to assist with the procurement strategy across projects Develop accurate programmes from client or engineering data
  • Identify and prepare the Work Package summary
  • Oversee the entire RfQ process from a bidding perspective, proactively anticipating and conveying criticalities that may impact the estimate
  • Manage the handover of recommendations from procurement to estimating, ensuring accurate data incorporation into the estimate
  • Work closely with the wider bid team to deliver content for bids, conduct market studies, develop scope of works, specifications, and BOQ

What you will bring to the team:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the delivery of civil works or similar construction projects
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Demonstrated understanding of Commercial terms and conditions
  • Hands on management of equipment packages
