Internal Communications Coordinator
The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Job Purpose |
The purpose of this position is to support Site based Strategic Workforce Communications Lead’s as directed in coordinating employee communications activities that use creative and innovative storytelling (and delivery methods) to keep employees informed about FGJV’s strategic objectives and project progress, building connection and loyalty linking to Project values that drive our workforce engagement and desired culture outcomes |
Main Duties / Responsibilities |
- Coordinate innovative internal communications under the guidance of Strategic Workforce Communications Lead that reach the entire employee population including front-line and employees in a hybrid environment, recognising our employees are not a homogenous group and require differentiated methods of communication for maximum impact including:
- Workforce announcements and site-based notices to communicate functional directives as directed by Strategic Workforce Communications Lead
- Updates to site-based collateral including workforce sites for health and wellbeing, safety, environment and organisational updates aligned to functional needs
- Site-based logistics for events under direction of Strategic Workforce Communication Lead including but not limited to submission of catering forms, seeking client event approvals, liaison with General Services etc.
- Maximise attendance at site-based pre-starts to understand barriers/ opportunities to allow for effective workforce engagement, and in representing and functional needs in this forum
- Support training objectives through evaluation of communication techniques, including pre-start spot check leader evaluations that support leaders to become even better and more effective individual communicators.
- Develop stories for internal communication channels that promote and contribute to our desired workforce culture in caring and connection with each other around our agreed values.
- contribute to the development of site based communication plans for engagement events including site based logistics for event success
- Participate in engagement tool evaluation through informal/ formal feedback mechanisms to allow for improvements to be made to the C&SM function aligned to organisational needs

Qualifications: | Experience |
- Relevant tertiary degree or completed studies towards a communication discipline
- Technical proficiency in online platforms (E.g. WordPress) Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)
| 2+ years Background in communications, campaigns, and events |
