Clough is pleased to announce its asset services business, e2o Asset Services, has been awarded the Bundaberg Common User Infrastructure (CUI) Project in Bundaberg, Queensland.

The scope of work includes the supply, installation and commissioning of a new permanent conveyor system and the supporting electrical & instrumentation infrastructure at the Port of Bundaberg.

The new permanent conveyor system is expected to increase the capacity of the currently underutilised Port, improve its loading facilities, and help attract new businesses to the local Bundaberg area. The project is supported by funding from the Australian Government under the Hinkler Regional Deal together with additional funding committed by Sugar Terminals Limited and Gladstone Ports Corporation, provided on behalf of the Queensland Government.

Throughout construction, the project will create significant benefits to the local community, providing employment and supplier opportunities, with several Indigenous businesses already engaged.

Once complete and operational, the CUI Project will increase the export of a wide range of commodities from the region, including minerals, timber and agricultural produce.

John Galvin, Clough Executive Vice President APAC, said: “Clough has a long history in Queensland and it’s exciting to see our asset services business, e2o, expanding its project reach in the state, offering innovative solutions to our clients and creating benefits for the local communities.”

Brent Maas, Clough Vice President Services for QLD and PNG, said: “To see e2o Asset Services expanding into the local Queensland market is a true testament to the hard work and strong capabilities of the team. I am incredibly proud of the growing portfolio of projects the business has secured and the positive impact it is starting to make locally in Queensland.”

Clough’s project works are set to commence in October 2022, with completion expected in April 2023.
