An electric lecture at UWA - Chief of Electrical Engineering, Hamed Sharafizad, joined final-year Electrical Engineering students at The University of Western Australia to help spark their commitment to safety through a deep dive into Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas.

“It is always rewarding to give back to the profession and share real-world insights with the next generation of engineers,” – Hamed.

As a member of the university’s Industry Advisory Panel, Hamed supports the development of future Electrical Engineers by contributing to their education through specialised topics that go beyond the standard curriculum. Lectures like these expose students to core safety concepts grounded in industry relevance and design considerations, ensuring we continue to build a stronger, safer and more sustainable industry.
