This week, in recognition of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), we delivered an Empowering Allies interactive workshop for staff across Australia.
The session focused on building the confidence, skills and awareness needed to actively support LGBTQIA+ inclusion in our workplaces and communities.
Delivered in partnership with Pride in Diversity, the workshop explored:
- What allyship and unconscious bias mean, and why they matter
- How inclusive language, behaviours and communication make a difference
- Practical ways to speak up, intervene and offer support
- How to apply allyship principles to help create safer, more inclusive environments
Together with our parent company, Webuild, we have been proud partners of Pride in Diversity since 2022. Through initiatives like this, we continue to strengthen understanding, foster allyship and drive meaningful change.
Because inclusion isn’t passive—it’s something we all actively practice.
