We're proud to welcome a new group of apprentices to the Woodman Point Water Resource Recovery Facility Project in Perth, creating valuable opportunities for hands-on learning while helping build the skilled workforce needed to deliver Australia's future infrastructure.
Working in partnership with Skill Hire, the project has welcomed nine apprentices across electrical, mechanical fitting and boilermaking disciplines. The intake includes apprentices from first through to fourth year, providing opportunities to learn alongside experienced tradespeople while developing practical skills on a major infrastructure project. As part of the cohort, we're pleased to welcome two Indigenous apprentices, supporting our commitment to creating more inclusive pathways into the construction industry.
With the construction industry continuing to face skills shortages, apprenticeship programs are essential to developing the next generation of qualified tradespeople. They provide the opportunity to earn while learning, gain nationally recognised qualifications and build rewarding, long-term careers in the industry.
We look forward to supporting these apprentices as they continue to grow their skills, learn from experienced mentors and contribute to the successful delivery of the Woodman Point Water Resource Recovery Facility Project.
Clough, in alliance with Water Corporation and Jacobs, is proud to be part of Western Australia’s largest and most advanced wastewater treatment plant. The Woodman Point Water Resource Recovery Facility serves nearly 900,000 homes and businesses across Perth, setting a new benchmark in sustainability and innovation, and playing a vital role in supporting our growing population.
