Building skills for Victoria’s future - The Spark North East Link Tunnels D&C team has proudly reached 100% of its Major Project Skills Guarantee (MPSG) target, years ahead of schedule!

Under the Victorian Government’s Local Jobs First Policy, the MPSG requires 10% of total project hours to be completed by apprentices, trainees, or cadets. For Spark, that meant more than 1.7 million hours dedicated to developing the next generation of skilled workers.

Here’s what that looks like in action:

▪️ 689 Traineeships
▪️ 110 Apprenticeships
▪️ 52 nationally recognised qualifications gained
▪️ 81 Cadets engaged

A standout achievement has been the onsite Certificate III in Civil Construction (Tunnelling) program, which has trained 344 team members directly on site, supporting both new entrants and experienced workers to upskill and grow.Well done to everyone who’s contributed to making this milestone possible.
