Our interns recently travelled to the Waitsia Gas Plant in Dongara, Western Australia, where they spent three days experiencing firsthand what life is like on a major project site, including camp life, prestarts, and the day‑to‑day operations of a large‑scale gas plant. The Waitsia Gas Plant is a joint venture operated by Mitsui E&P Australia (MEPAU) and Beach Energy Ltd.

Graduates Luci Hooper and Matt Dekker guided the team through the project, giving the interns valuable insight into how the plant operates, what engineering looks like beyond university, and what to expect when working on site. A huge thank‑you to everyone involved for making the visit such a meaningful experience.

With our parent company, Webuild, we are committed to developing our people and delivering iconic projects across Australia and the Asia‑Pacific region.
