Ship Lift Update! Clough BMD Group Joint Venture is making significant progress on the ship lift - as part of the Northern Marine Complex in Darwin - which is set to become one of the largest ship lifts in northern Australia. 
 
Works are advancing across multiple fronts, with major milestones being achieved every week.
 
Progress highlights:
◼️ More than 1 million work hours delivered to date
◼️ 493 people currently working on the project
◼️ 73% of the workforce are Territorians, including subcontractors
◼️ 52 of 186 marine piles installed
◼️ 39 of 47 caissons constructed
◼️ 39 bored piles installed to form the foundations of the Blast and Paint Facility
 
Clough BMD Joint Venture is the head contractor for the ship lift, as part of the Northern Marine Complex being delivered for the Northern Territory (NT) Government. The ship lift will enable the maintenance and servicing of Defence and Australian Border Force vessels, along with commercial and private vessels from the fishing, oil and gas and marine industries.
