Storming ahead on SSTOM - the Parklife Metro team at the Airport Business Park Station site has been making significant progress and has achieved some major milestones in their delivery of the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport's Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) project. 

Some of the highlights achieved in recent months include: 

  • 11 base slabs poured 

  • All 18 deflection walls now complete 

  • Stage 2 columns finished 

The team is now focused on wrapping up construction of the South Services Building, with work nearing completion on the internal walls, remaining suspended slabs and the station’s concourse slab.

About the Project

Webuild as part of the Parklife Metro Consortium is delivering the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport Metro Line, Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) Package project. 

The project includes the construction of six stations between the St Marys interchange station and Bradfield Station, a workshop depot for storing and the maintenance of trains at Orchard Hills, and also the superstructure, the signalling systems and mechanical and electric systems of the entire line, and the supply of new driverless trains.
