Iron Ore
Clough was an important part of the early development of Western Australia’s iron ore industry, and has since delivered some of the largest iron ore projects to the resources industry across Australia and internationally.
The delivery of iron ore projects made up much of Clough’s early resource project experience and set the foundation for our future as an industry leader. We have established a strong relationship with key operator clients in the industry, which has resulted in the growth of our reputation as a trusted and key project delivery contractor.

Ore Handling Plant
Clough completed the construction contract of the Ore Handling Plant (OHP) for the BHP South Flank Project. In total, 491 modules were installed equating to 14,900 t, 26,600 crane lifts were performed, 8,000 linear metres of pipe were installed, and 221 km of cable were installed.
Oyu Tolgoi
Clough, in joint venture, is undertaking the design, construction and commissioning of the blind sink and concrete line of Shaft No 3 and No 4, as well as the underground installation of Primary Crusher PC1 with a capacity of 28,000 t/d, Belt Conveyor System which will feed ore into the Shaft 2 production hoist, and associated substations for the Oyu Tolgoi project in Mongolia.
Boddington Mine
Clough, in joint venture, completed the Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning and Management for gold and copper processing facilities, for the 35 Mtpa Boddington Gold Mine Project. Equipment selected for the Project was amongst the most technically advanced and largest ever used in the industry, including the gyratory crushes, the roll crushers, SAG mills and floatation cells.
Lihir Gold Mine
Cloughs, subsidiary e2o Asset Services, is completing the shutdown scope at Newcrest’s Lihir Gold project on Lihir Island, Papua New Guinea. The project involves preparation, planning, scheduling, execution, close out, and improvement of the site's grinding and flotation area major planned shutdowns.
