We are looking for experienced, or people with relevant skills to be trained as, Tunnel Workers who have ideally had exposure to TBM or other method tunnelling for the Snowy 2.0 project.

The successful candidate will: 

• Carry out work in and associated with underground tunnel excavation
• Operate a range of equipment for tunnelling operations, such as EWP’s, chain blocks, grout pumps & mixers, gantry cranes and others
• Assist as required with work associated with specialist plant operations, Segment delivery equipment (MSV’s), Gantry crane operations, Conveyor operations and Grouting line / pump installation and maintenance
• Responsible for identifying any and all safety hazards and notifying the appropriate persons accordingly
• Ability to perform daily safety and maintenance checks
• Required to familiarize themselves with the approved emergency procedures, contingency plans, communication procedures and rescue plans

We are seeking a candidate with the following profile:

• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience with underground Tunnelling Projects
• High Risk Card - Dogging or Rigging ticket is essential
• HR license preferred
• Understanding of specialised tunnelling equipment operation
• Ability to work as part of a tunnelling team
• Ability to work closely with Safety Department to maintain project safety standards
• Construction White Card
• Health and Safety focused
• Able to commit to Full time rostered day and night shift rotations
