We have an exciting opportunity for a Materials Controller to join the Woodman Point Project Team in Henderson! In this role, you will effectively Manage the materials control process from establishing warehouse, segregation of materials, laydown and quarantine area. Ensures all material movements are documented in company Materials Management System and that all materials for the project are trackable via materials availability reports. 

 

Clough, as part of an alliance, is delivering the engineering, procurement and construction for the Woodman Point Water Treatment Facility Upgrade, a significant sustainable infrastructure project for the Perth community, reducing waste and emissions.

Your focus will include:

 

  • Manages Site Materials Control activities in accordance with guidelines, process and procedures within Clough Management System.
  • Liaises with Material/Logistics Supervisor to ensures that Worksite team are informed in advance of any hazardous goods shipments (by copy of MSD’s) and any wide load/heavy lift shipments to ensure that safety rules are applied and followed by Site personnel concerning unloading, handling, transporting, lifting, storage and loading activities.
  • Performs receiving and visual inspection of materials and equipment and verifies that goods are in accordance with shipping documents, IRC and materials certification, Purchase Order descriptions and quantities and free from visible damage.
  • Receipts materials / equipment in SAP/SMAT against RNs, maintains up-to-date electronic files of all MRRs and associated documentation such as packing lists and delivery notes, RN’s etc.
  • Maintains Site Material Receipt Register and manages GRN’s
  • Collates and files copies of materials certification for all goods received
  • Maintains inventory validity by receipting and issuing all materials and equipment in SAP/SMAT in a timely manner.

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in a subject relevant to the position, e.g. Materials Management, Logistics, Inventory Control etc, is desireable 
  • Previous experience in similar role with minimum 2+ years site-based experience in EPC projects
  • Previous experience in construction/engineering environment
  • Demonstrated practical experience with bespoke Materials Management systems and databases – in SAP & SMAT
