The Clough BMD Joint Venture team at the ship lift in Darwin were proud to attend a recent Smoking Ceremony hosted by our subcontractor, RC Construction, a local Indigenous-owned company.

The ship lift is being built as part of the Northern Marine Complex.

The ceremony was an important opportunity to come together in respect, acknowledge Traditional Owners, and recognise the cultural significance of Country as works continue on this major marine infrastructure project.

We extend our gratitude to local cultural practitioners, Nicole Brown and Trent Lee, for delivering the ceremony, and to RC Construction for their leadership in hosting this meaningful event and sharing the experience with our team.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan guides our commitment to building stronger relationships, creating meaningful opportunities, and deepening understanding with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. Moments like these are an important reflection of that commitment in action.
