Construction progress at K2!

A series of important milestones have been achieved at the Kwinana Power Station 2 (K2) Project, marking the transition from planning and preparation into major permanent works.
 
Site works are now under way, with the project team recently completing the first GTG foundation excavations and reaching another significant milestone with the first major concrete pour. 
 
The 300m³ continuous pour was delivered at a rate of 50m³ per hour, with concrete placement commencing at 4am, demonstrating the planning, coordination and teamwork required to safely deliver complex construction activities.
 
Each of these milestones represents another step towards delivering important energy infrastructure for Western Australia.
 
Congratulations to everyone involved, including our project team, AGL Energy, delivery partners and stakeholders, for reaching these milestones and maintaining strong momentum on site.
