Safety doesn’t stop at the site gate - The Parklife Metro team delivering the SSTOM Project, are the first major infrastructure project to deliver Safer Together™, a program dedicated to proactive, prevention-focused wellbeing, beyond the job site.

This initiative was developed by Women & Children First, an organisation that supports women and children experiencing domestic and family violence, and draws on 50 years of frontline experience. The initiative recognises issues such as domestic and family violence, coercive control, sexual harassment and psychosocial hazards could impact wellbeing, safety and culture at work.

Proudly supported by Sydney Metro and the NSW Women in Construction Program, workshops were delivered across eight sites and offices, engaging more than 1,500 employees on the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport (SSTOM) Project. The powerful sessions were delivered by Safer Together Program Lead & counsellor Kylie Lynch and Dave Kramer, Behavioural Scientist and Ambassador for Small Steps 4 Hannah and Innerboy.au App.

A big thank you to the many advocates across the project who championed this program, including our Superintendents, Supervisors, Senior Leaders, Safety teams and subcontractors, it’s your support and sponsorship that made this initiative possible.
