We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant to join the New Women and Babies Hospital Team in Perth!  Reporting to the Project Finance Manager, your responsibilities will revolve around preparing financial data to ensure accuracy of procedural standards and compliance.

WeBuild is delivering the design and construction of the Women and Babies Hospital in Perth, Western Australia. This landmark project will replace the century-old King Edward Memorial Hospital and expand services and choice for women, newborns and families, delivering lasting benefits and a positive legacy for the people of Western Australia.

Your focus will include:

 

  • Administer the month end processes for the project.
  • Management of intercompany recharges.
  • Responsible for SAP Postings including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other costs.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly reporting for the project and corporate.
  • Partnering with the project team to resolve issues and ensure the successful delivery of the project.
  • An ability to identify and improve business processes.

 

What you will bring to the team:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or Accounting
  • Membership to the Institute of Chartered Accounants or CPA Australia (or working towards)
  • Experience in Construction, Building, Government sectors highly regarded
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to drive outcomes
  • Previous SAP or similar ERP experience
  • Demonstrated experience with data-handling and manipulation
  • Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • A working knowledge of Accounting Standards
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
