Celebrating culture and connection - NAIDOC Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, and to reflect on the deep cultural connections to the lands we live and work on.

The Saipem Clough Joint Venture team at Perdaman’s Project Ceres had the privilege of welcoming Vince Adams, a proud Yindjibarndi man to site. Vince shared a moving Acknowledgement of Country, cultural knowledge of bush tucker and traditional medicines, and cooked a traditional meal of kangaroo tail stew and damper for our team. 

It was a meaningful experience that reminded us of the importance of listening and learning. 

We encourage everyone to take a moment to learn, reflect, and participate in activities that celebrate and respect First Nations cultures. Every action, no matter how small, helps keep the fire burning.

With our parent company, Webuild, we are guided by our Reconciliation Action Plan and committed to delivering on our vision, to enable equal participation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples across the nation-building projects we deliver.

About Our Reconciliation Journey

We are proudly delivering the third Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in our reconciliation journey. 

We are committed to providing robust and accessible pathways for employment and business engagement for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, underpinned by meaningful education, training and development opportunities and long-standing community partnerships.

Since the commencement of our RAP journey in 2020, we have embedded 117 actions and initiatives to drive positive change for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples by delivering employment, education, and business opportunities and providing our workforce with experiences to reflect on and immerse themselves in the world’s oldest continuing living cultures.
