The Clough Foundation is pleased to announce it has renewed its partnership with Stars Foundation for the third year in a row, supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and young women to attend and remain engaged at school, complete Year 12 and move into work or further study.

The Clough Foundation has been working with Stars Foundation since 2021 and has been an active supporter, engaging students in intern and work experience opportunities with Clough, hosting Open Days to spark their interest in STEM careers, and attending Stars’ careers forums and events.

Peter Bennett, Clough CEO and Clough Foundation Director said: “The work that Stars Foundation does to support, develop and inspire First Nations girls and young women is remarkable and it is a program I am incredibly proud for Clough Foundation to partner with. I have had the opportunity to meet many of the Stars Foundation students at our Open Days, and their engagement and enthusiasm is a testament to how the unique program is helping these young women unlock their potential and expand their aspirations to build a positive future.”

Andrea Goddard, Stars Foundation Founder and CEO said: “Stars Foundation consistently sees positive outcomes for First Nations girls and young women, as we support them to attend school, complete Year 12, and move successfully into work, training, or further study. We are grateful for Clough Foundation’s continued support, which contributes to our important goal of inspiring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander girls and young women to achieve their full potential.”

Since Stars began operating programs in the Northern Territory in 2015, they’ve seen remarkable education and health improvements amongst its students. Stars offers personal development activities and experiences in many different areas, including academic support, personal health and wellbeing, music, dance, art, cooking and nutrition, and exercise and sport. Students also take part in community, cultural and volunteering activities to build their life-skills and confidence and further develop their links to culture and community.

Stars Foundation operates 49 programs across Northern Territory, Western Australia, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia, supporting around 2,600 students to identify their goals and reach their full potential.
