Purpose of the Role This role supports the execution of the Health and Wellbeing strategy and coordinating the implementation and administration of health and wellbeing programs and related activities across the Snowy 2.0 Project. Support the delivery of Health and Wellbeing plans and programs that focus on improved personal and organisational wellbeing across the Project. This includes (but is not limited to) the development of an overarching strategy and associated wellbeing plans, mental health programs, health initiatives and support programs. |
Qualifications Essential - Tertiary qualifications in health studies, public health, health promotion, or related
- Experience working in an occupational health and/or wellbeing role within a large complex organisation
- Data analysis and interpretation skills and experience
- Drivers Licence
- White Card
Desirable - Strong relationship management, influencing skills and cultural change capability
- Extensive ability to engage with people at all levels in the organisation and with external stakeholders
Experience Essential - Minimum of 5 years’ experience in implementing wellbeing programs, preferably in heavy industry or high-risk environments.
- Knowledge in Work Health and Safety legislation, with a particular focus on psychosocial hazard management
Desirable - Demonstrated experience on large-scale major infrastructure projects.
- Safety management tools and techniques
- Demonstratable understanding of construction delivery techniques and high-risk construction activities.
- Client liaison
- Industrial relations knowledge and experience
- Familiar with managing OFSC system compliance

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities - Support people leaders and employees with targeted wellbeing programs
- Develop and deliver education and awareness programs, that support better understanding of psychosocial risks and controls, including working with people leaders to support early intervention and management.
- Coordinate the design, development and implementation of projects and activities focused on holistic wellbeing and enhancing safety culture.
- Participate in the effective review of implemented health and wellbeing programs and highlight opportunities for improvement
- In collaboration with the Medical Services Team, coordinate a calendar of health and wellbeing promotional initiatives based on data and risk
- Advise on health and wellbeing risks and controls, with a particular focus on psychosocial hazards and risks
- Assist in the development and management of injury management and injury prevention processes and programs.
- Stay up to date with health, safety and wellbeing issues, trends and laws and advise on how the Project’s strategies and programs should be adapted.
- Work with HR and IR teams to ensure effective communication with the workforce. Including communication programs and information through various forums and media.
- Coordinate engaging meetings, events, and forums (e.g. Care Champion Program and Wellbeing Advisory Group)
- Work with SHL (Client) to ensure a collaborative program is developed for all workers on Snowy 2.0.
