Site Engineer - Electrical

Operating within a Joint Venture framework for e2x as our Site Engineer – Electrical will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the construction of the project, ensuring quality control and management of work flow, on-site activities, materials and equipment on site.

 

This role is based on site on the Western Sydney Metro project – Western Sydney.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate electrical works across construction and commissioning phases
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Support testing, inspections, and commissioning of electrical systems
  • Supervise subcontractor performance and provide technical guidance on-site
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and support project handover into operations

 

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Electrical Engineer). 
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) – preferred. 
  • Membership of relevant Engineering Institutions (e.g. Engineers Australia) – preferred
  • 3+ years’ project delivery experience in construction (Tier 1/Tier 2 contractor environment preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC, and relevant codes.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, technical submittals, and QA/commissioning processes.
  • Experience in rail or large public infrastructure projects desirable.
