On Wednesday, 21 June, Clough joined the Webuild SPA Project Team working on North East Link (NEL) in Melbourne to mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the businesses within Webuild Group.

Hosted at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, Marco Assorati, Executive President, and Peter Bennett, CEO, spoke to the NEL team about Webuild’s acquisition of Clough and the strategic vision behind the decision to move forward with Clough as the platform for Webuild in Australia.

The occasion was an opportunity for Clough’s executive team to meet the NEL project team and share the company’s vision for the future as the business embarks upon the delivery of some of the biggest and most complex projects in Australia and overseas.

Currently, Clough and Webuild are working together and in a short while all projects in Australia will be managed under the Clough brand, a brand that is a part of our identity that we are incredibly proud of, and it has set the tone for who we are, what we do, and our purpose as a business across the globe.

With the rebrand, a new era starts for Clough as part of the Webuild Group and while the visual identity has evolved, Clough’s and Webuild’s commitment to apply the most innovative solutions across its industries remains.

Clough, now as a proud part of the global Webuild Group, is well positioned to expand its role in the energy, resources and infrastructure market sectors across Australia and Asia Pacific as a partner for a sustainable future.

We are excited for the continued growth of our organisation and people, and a new chapter working with our clients and suppliers to deliver complex and iconic projects.

About the North East Link Project

Webuild SPA, as part of the Spark Consortium, is delivering the North East Link Primary Package in Melbourne. The project scope includes the design and construction of twin three-lane tunnels approximately 6.5 kilometres long, and other related works. Once complete, it will be the longest road tunnel in Victoria, providing an essential link in the city’s freeway network, reducing congestion and travel times for tens of thousands of motorists. The project will enable a more sustainable future by taking 15,000 trucks off local roads every day and reducing trave times by up to 35 minutes for commuters.
