Peter Bennett | CEO & Managing Director
Peter Bennett (B.Eng (Mechanical)), was appointed as CEO of Clough on 1 February 2016, bringing over 30 years of international experience in the energy and infrastructure contracting service sector.
His experience spans contracting business process, operational, and corporate leadership. Peter has been instrumental in the diversification of Clough as a respected engineering and construction business serving the energy, infrastructure and resources industry in Australia Asia Pacific and North America.
Peter commenced his career as a graduate mechanical engineer with CB&I in Australia. During his 26-year tenure, Peter progressed through a diverse range of roles including engineering, project management, business development, operations management, corporate function management and general management.
Prior to joining Clough, Peter was President, Oil & Gas International for CB&I, based in The Hague.
Peter is passionate about diversity and inclusion and is currently Chair of CEOs for Gender Equity.
Brent Maas | Chief Financial Officer
Brent Maas was appointed Chief Financial Officer for Clough’s global operations on 1 September 2022.
Brent re-joined Clough at the beginning of 2021 as Vice President, Services Australia and Asia Pacific, bringing with him over 20 years of experience in the engineering, maintenance, and construction industries for the resources, energy, utilities and defence industries, with a prominent background in finance.
Over his career, Brent has worked in senior roles including Chief Financial Officer, Director of Finance and Operations, and General Manager, overseeing and managing various corporate and project teams.
At Clough, Brent has been responsible for the growth and management of the Clough’s Brisbane and Papua New Guinea operations, which holds a long-standing and strong reputation for Clough, as well as the consolidation of Clough’s Asset Services business, e2o.
Prior to joining Clough, Brent was General Manager Finance for UGL, based in Melbourne.
Brent is recognised as a people developer and cultural change agent and is passionate about safety, indigenous engagement, and the power of diversity in the construction industry.
John Galvin | Executive Vice President, Australia & Asia Pacific
John leads and oversees Clough’s APAC Operations. His responsibilities include the safe and profitable delivery of projects, people management and development, risk identification and management, business development and strategy, and adherence to the Clough way.
John is devoted to fostering a workplace the embraces and champions diversity with a strong focus on gender equity, indigenous engagement, reconciliation, talent development and mentoring. In 2017, John was awarded the Women in Resources Champion award for his contributions in supporting diversity.
He is also passionate about delivering initiatives and business improvements which focus on supporting and empowering our project teams.
Before joining Clough in 2018, John worked extensively in the construction industry across all facets of large-scale multidiscipline projects in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Malaysia. From site engineer and senior project manager, to leading operational business units, and senior corporate executive and director roles, his breadth of knowledge and experience supports and inspires Clough’s projects and people.
Cynthia Calderon | Head of Corporate Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement
Cynthia is responsible for the Group’s communications, branding, marketing, and stakeholder engagement, globally. Her passion for sustainability, gender equity, and corporate social responsibility, is embedded in the work she does across the business. She has been instrumental in the implementation of related company-wide initiatives and projects.
Prior to joining Clough in 2016, Cynthia worked in marketing, communications and sales/business development roles across the energy, construction, engineering, consulting and not-for-profit industries.
