Crane Operator <60t

We are reaching out again with the opportunity for Crane Operators <60t to join the Bayu Undan Project Team in Timor Leste on a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation with flexibility for overlap work. Possible early mobilisation to cover offshore training competencies.

As a Crane Operator you will ensure all platform lifts and boat operations are completed in a safe manner and in line with the Crane Operators Competence systems, and to the satisfaction of the company/client.

This is a casual role reporting to the Contract Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Operate cranes to the specific requirements of the manufacturer’s recommendations
  • Platform lifts, load and unloading of supply boats
  • Check the weight and size of the load to be lifted; ensure crane is working within recommended load radius
  • Perform parking and shutdown duties as per site requirements
  • Carry out daily routine checks on the crane in accordance with the manufacturer’s maintenance procedures and site-specific prestart checklist
  • Complete routine first line maintenance duties including but limited to greasing, lubrication and machinery maintenance in accordance with relevant manufactures recommendations
  • Maintain cranes in a clean, tidy and where applicable, watertight condition, including cabs, machinery housings and external surfaces
  • Assist maintenance personnel in routine maintenance and repair activities and general deck duties.

Qualifications and skills

  • Appropriate crane qualification for workscope
  • Offshore Crane Operation certificate
  • Proven knowledge of lifting and rigging regulations and statutory requirements
  • Competent in performing crane maintenance to manufacturer’s and Australian standards
  • Safe Working at Heights
  • Certificate of Competency in Dogging
  • Current T/BOSIET
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas, construction and/or maintenance industry
  • Heli Landing Officer certificate (desirable)
