Scope of work

Clough completed the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract, to progress the non-process infrastructure (NPI) for the BHP South Flank project in Western Australia.​

The project involves Clough to engineer, design and construct NPI facilities to support the mining activities at South Flank and the ore handling plant (OHP) at mining area C (MAC), specifically the sample preparation facility; a fixed plant workshop, belt splicing workshops and shut down facilities such as the train driver facility; stockyard ablution block; ammonium nitrate storage facility; main equipment maintenance (MEM) workshop and warehouse; heavy vehicle tyre maintenance facility; heavy vehicle and light vehicle wash facility; fuel farms and mining personnel amenities.​

The project is intended to replace the Yandi mine, which has reached the end of its economic life.
